Go Green For Living

Have you been thinking about ways of going green? It seems that almost everyone is joining the go green movement. However, those that haven’t jumped in yet may think that they can’t afford to do all it takes to live a greener lifestyle. The truth is that you don’t have to spend a ton of money when you decide to Go Green For Living.

Probably the easiest way to go green is by recycling. Things such as newspapers, magazines, aluminum cans, and plastics can all be recycled and made into new products. There are also companies that work to recycle computer parts, cell phones, and ordinary batteries. These are things that should not be thrown into landfills, and by recycling, you might be giving someone less fortunate a chance for something better.

Note: 01/29/09 – We want to give props to John Leigh Steinberg Blog regarding the Blog post about recycling cell phones.

If you’re the kind of person who loves to do handy-crafts, there are a million ideas as to how to reuse many of the things you would normally throw away. Items such as egg cartons can be used as paint containers or a way of separating beads and buttons. Empty oatmeal containers are great for keeping ribbons, or can be used to hold paint brushes or scissors. And the plastic inserts found in packaged cookies are the perfect size for keeping spools of thread.

You don’t have to be a millionaire to Go Green for living. All it takes is a little work and ingenuity. Before you throw anything away, ask yourself is there is anyway that you might be able to reuse that product, or if it can be recycled. With just a little thought, you could be doing your part to save the world.
