Consider a Green Food Supplement for the New Year

Saturday, December 27th, 2008

Green Food Supplement:
With the New Year looming you no doubt are thinking about some health and diet resolutions.  Adding a green food supplement to your intake will be very beneficial.  There is quite a bit of interest in green food supplements these days and for good reason.

Five Fruits & Vegetables:
Do you get your five servings of fruits and vegetables every day?  If not, a company called New Chapter is making it a little easier for us to do so.  They have a product called Berry Green that is an excellent green food supplement.

Certified Organic:
Berry Green contains 20 different whole food greens and fruits that are all certified organic.  Each ingredient has a particular purpose to help your body function at its best or to help prevent diseases and other health problems.  Some of these ingredients include: spinach (dietary cancer prevention), blueberry (highest anti-oxidant content), brussel sprouts (protective against DNA damage), papaya (anti-aging activity), and pomegranate (breast cancer prevention).

Not only does Berry Green contain the ingredients listed above plus many others, it also contains live probiotics to help with digestive health and the immune system.

Powder or Capsule:
By increasing your fruit and vegetable intake by even just one serving, you may lower your risk of heart disease.  Berry Green is available in powder form that is mixed with water or juice.  It is also available in capsule form.  Either way, it will provide you with a healthy serving of 20 different organic fruits and vegetables, making Berry Green an amazing green food supplement.

Buy Cosmetics, Organic or Natural

Tuesday, December 16th, 2008

Before the end of 2009, there will be a set of minimum standards for HBC (Health & Beauty Care) companies to live up to before they can claim to be making Cosmetics, Organic or Natural and other products.

Surprisingly, many people have been led to believe that the products they are using have been put to the test so their labels can say natural or organic. The truth is, there have been no standards for HBC products so companies have gotten away with calling their products and cosmetics organic or natural when they really aren’t.

There are companies that have worked hard to live by their own set of standards to produce products that are of high quality. Aubrey Organics and Dr. Bronner’s are good examples of this. Their products contain quality ingredients and they are obtained through fair trade.

Some are worried though, that as bigger companies get involved, they will work to weaken the standards. This would result in companies looking for the loopholes to be able to include un-pure ingredients or fillers in their products and still claim to be natural or organic.

Be on the lookout for seals on the natural and organic cosmetics and products. These seals will tell you whether or not the product meets the Natural Product Associations standards.
