There are many companies out there claiming to be selling environmentally friendly cleaning products, green cleaning supplies, eco friendly cleaning supplies. The products should be renewable, free of dyes and scents, recyclable or recycled themselves, non-toxic, phosphate free and biodegradable to be environmentally friendly.

All of this sounds good but read the fine print. I found a trash bag claiming to be biodegradable. This was in large print on the box. On one of the sides, in very small print was the time frame for the degrading of the bag. The claim was just over 100 years and the bag would be totally degraded.
