Wheatgrass Super Green Food

Wheatgrass is an amazing super green food. Wheatgrass is the young grass of the wheat plant. It is grown indoors and has become quite popular being found in health food stores in a couple different forms and at juice bars. It contains enzymes, amino acids, and a number of vitamins and minerals making it a super green food.

Super Green Food Benefits:
The benefits of wheatgrass are plenty. It has been used to cure constipation and other gastrointestinal complaints. Wheatgrass can help to detoxify the liver and bloodstream due to the enzymes and amino acids. It can help to stimulate the thyroid gland which may relieve those who suffer from indigestion. It may even be a powerful defense against tumors, neutralizing toxins found in the body.

Forms of Wheatgrass:
Wheatgrass comes in a few different forms including a dehydrated powder or tablet. Usually wheatgrass is put through a juicer and consumed in small 30ml. shots. The amount can be increased to a few ounces a day for therapeutic benefits. Some people add wheatgrass in with their other juiced vegetables like carrot juice.

Try it, you’ll like it:
It’s amazing how something as simple as a type of grass can be so beneficial. Check your local health food store for wheatgrass and give it a try. If you don’t like it by itself, you can always add it to juice so you can still receive the benefits of this super green food.

On a personal note, I love the little rush of warmth that I get every time I down one of those babies. You can actually feel it.
