Why Go Green? Reduce Waste, Save Money, Save The Planet
Everywhere you look, someone else is talking about the whole green movement. Billboards,
television ads, newspapers, and everything in between have spent millions of dollars telling the
world about the importance of going green. Unfortunately, many people believe that they can’t
do it alone, and wonder Why Go Green if they’re the only ones trying?
The answer to that question is that because by doing your part, you can make a difference. When
even one person works to reduce waste, recycle their plastics and papers, and reuse things like
jars and bottles, they’ve done their part to keep the planet clean. It’s amazing how much garbage
can come from just one household. Think about all the things you throw away each day, and
multiply that by the number of people in your house, or even your neighborhood.
By reducing waste, you’re keeping the landfills from overflowing and having to build new ones.
By recycling newspapers and magazines, you’re saving the lives of hundreds of trees. And by
reusing things such as jars and bottles, you’re ensuring the future for another generation. It really
doesn’t take a lot to do your part to save the environment.
As you see and hear all the ads out there about joining the green movement, stop to think about
all the ways you can help. You might only be one person, but you can do more than you’d think.
And the next time you hear someone say, Why Go Green, tell them it’s because we only have one
planet to work with and every little bit counts.
